1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot? The shoot was a gift for my fiancé’s 30th birthday.
2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot? I was very anxious before the shoot. I have two small children that have played a huge role in the changes of my body over the last few years. There were certainly things I liked about my body before the shoot but more things that I was self conscious about.
3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot? I was amazed when going through my pictures that I was having such a hard time narrowing down my photos for my book. And out of all the photos that didn’t make the cut, not one of them was because I didn’t like my body in it. I truly loved the way my body looked in every one.
4) Describe your session in 3 words? Empowering fun and amazing
5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot? Maura was my favorite part. I read so many times in the Facebook group how much everyone loved her and comfortable she made them feel and not that I doubted that she was wonderful, but I didn’t think anyone would be able to calm my nerves. Before I was even out of hair and makeup I was relaxed and excited, and when it was over I didn’t want to leave. She is so inviting (her and her amazing home and neighborhood). It is no surprise that she’s able to capture so many beautiful photo’s. So much of her talent is not just as a photographer but that she is so fun and wonderful to be around.
6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot? To not hesitate. The best part of this gift isn’t going to be his reaction to the pictures but just the idea that I’ve done something like this. 100% out of my comfort zone. And I do not have 1 regret!
