As I work with more and more ladies from the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas, I find that the question of editing always pops up. What can I do? Can’t I do? What magic can I work to enhance their beauty? (I’m all about enhancing what you have – NOT giving you tons of things you don’t)
The client below really loved these shorts and wanted a photo without a shirt but was very concerned about her stomach – in her words, “lots of stretch marks, a pooch, loose skin and skin fold”. I assured her that there weren’t any troubles with it because I knew I could work on it in editing. I purposely took this photo to show her – and you all – after editing that I can work some magic on this area. And, guess what – this photo is on the first page of her album!
I’m actually very proud of my editing abilities. It’s something I work tireless on and spend hours upon hours UPON HOURS of learning how to use my tools to make these adjustments to photos. While posing is a large part of my boudoir skills and getting it right in camera, there was nothing aside from hiding her stomach that could have made this better in posing. A great boudoir photographer knows how to edit.
This certainly isn’t the hardest photo I’ve edited but it’s a great example of what can be accomplished. Thanks to my client for letting me share this photo.
The editing seen here is a combination of a lot of skills I use on all my boudoir photos. The photos I present to clients have been hand edited and fully retouched, and this makes me love my photos even more because I spend time on them.
Don’t let one area of concern hold you back from doing a boudoir shoot – they are the best!!!!
