Today’s Question for the Photographer: Do Clients Ever Cry?
Absolutely! This is why I love working with women – we are emotional and raw. We are also our own worst critics and many times, women will cry from the sheer joy of seeing how beautiful and amazing they look when they see their photos for the first time.
Boudoir shoots – on the surface – are thought of as a time to get glammed up and put on something sexy and pose for the camera. Below the surface though, they are so much more than that! They are taking time for yourself. They are breaking out of your shell. They are opening up and sharing personal stories. They are gaining confidence and believing you are beautiful and deserving. They are a time for you and I to bond and work together to create an experience you will hold onto forever. Sheesh! Just writing this is making me tear up!
Speaking of me tearing up, many times I am crying right along with you. I’m very emotional about this job and I completely connect with my clients – so I feel what they’re feeling. When they burst out into tears of joy, I usually do, too! It’s why I love my job – and love waterproof mascara!
