1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot? I guess you could say I’ve decided to double down on my current relationship. I’m with someone I’m deeply in love with. There’s certain things you know in a relationship. And they may change from time to time. But then there are things that you KNOW (feel). After a conversation we had one night, it hit me. I knew I wanted to be the only one they would ever need again. I wanted to be everything they could ever need or want. It was never anything they asked for, I know there’s nothing about me, good or bad, that they would ever want to change. But it was something I wanted to do, an action I wanted to take, a display of myself in the perfect way they always see me.
2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot? I remember looking at my butt and realizing there was cellulite back there and wondering wtf did that happened?!?! No big deal, I was more than a month out and could pull together a workout plan and tighten up my eating habits. I also remember freaking out about 2wks before because it seemed nothing I was doing was working. I was working out twice a day 4-5 days a week. I knew the targeting exercises were dead on because it hurt in all the places I wanted it to. And my stomach was growing?!?! For no reason!!! I was so scared it was going to show in my pictures. I was really discouraged.
3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot? I have no idea what I was worried about. I still can’t believe thats me.
4) Describe your session in 3 words? Relaxing, sexy, singular
5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot? I guess my favorite part of my shoot was how comfortable I felt with Maura. As you might imagine, there’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding a boudoir shoot if you’ve never done one before. On top of that, you’ll be mostly naked. To summarize: You don’t know what’s gonna happen AND you don’t have a lot of clothes. But Maura made me feel so welcomed and at home. She explained every goal and every pose. Once again, I don’t know what I was worried about.
6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot? Just meet Maura. I had a lot of questions. The best thing I did was made the call and set up a consultation. There was no obligation. Just an easy-to- talk- to, funny as shit, super intelligent, gorgeous artist. She’s already heard every question. She knows your reservations and insecurities. And improving womens’ self image is at the core of what she is. Just meet her!
