Shelly & Seth {Pittsburgh Engagement & Wedding Photographer}

It was a beautiful fall afternoon for Shelly and Seth’s engagement session….at least until it started raining! 🙂

They both live in Iowa and will be moving back next year, prior to their August 2014 wedding.  While they were in town for a wedding, they wanted to get their engagement photos taken!

I would like to think I hit it off with Shelly immediately.  She contacted me after being referred to us by Camille (another 2014 bride).  She told me that she had some rather unpleasant conversations with other photographers and was real turned off.  But, I think I turned her around and she decided to book her wedding with us.  We couldn’t be happier to work with such a fun loving couple.  Shelly did warn me that Seth has a weird smile for photos and it takes a few takes before a natural smile comes out! haha.  Challenge accepted!  Seth did a great job!

As they were changing into outfit #2, it started to rain and Shelly forgot her heels.  So, we’ll be heading out with them for a mini-engagement session next year to finish up.  Can’t wait to see you guys again and I certainly can’t wait for the wedding in August! 🙂

Kirsten {Pittsburgh Senior & Portrait Photographer}

We had a lovely time with Kirsten and her mom during her senior session!  Kirsten is such a lovely girl, both inside and out, and it was a pleasure to spend the evening with her.  She’s a talented singer who has the choice of three colleges – must be nice!  Oh, and she’s going to have two majors … OVERACHIEVER! 🙂

Kirsten’s mom is a hoot – I had a few fabulous conversations with her as we were planning Kirsten’s session, as well as the day after.  She called me to compliment us on how great of a session we had!  She brought tears to my eyes with all the beautiful things she was saying to me!  I feel like I’m part of the family – whether they like it or not!!

Kirsten will be in front of our cameras again in the winter.  She wanted both fall and winter pictures….and we’re more than happy to oblige.

Enjoy, Kirsten!  See you in the SNOW!!!!!!!! 🙂

This is what I imagine Kirsten looking like on a daily basis … so full of laughs!

Of course, we hit that golden sun that I love SOOOOO MUCH!

Oh…the eye!!!

Love this…she’s looking forward to her future and there are so many amazing things waiting for her!!

The T Family {Pittsburgh Children & Family Photographer}

I’ve known Melissa & Mike since college.  And, I haven’t seen them since their wedding 12 YEARS AGO!!!!  Yes, it’s been that long, and it took a family photo shoot to get us together.

During our shoot, we laughed…constantly.  It reminded me of all the great times we had in college and how much I enjoy their company.  Their children are just as fun and lovely!  We love to joke and make fun of each other.  The best of the day came from Mike.  Towards the end of the session, Mike was talking about Halloween, which for some unknown reason led to a conversation on the devil.  Then Mike said, “yea, we showed the kids some pictures of the devil and they looked a lot like you, Mojo!”  HAHAHA.  (My nickname in college was Mojo and it’s great to hear people call me that).  Soooooo funny!

Thanks, Melissa and Mike for letting us capture your beautiful family in photographs!  Much much love!!

Umm….  LOOK ALIVE, KIDS!!! 🙂 Love seeing their personalities….or their frustration with me.  Either way, it gives me a good chuckle.

Daddy’s girl.  Mama’s boy.

We had some fun with the leaves!!!!  I told the kids to throw the leaves UP in the air.  On the first try, they threw the leaves AT their parents! hee hee. 🙂

This brother and sister love each other so much!

The S Family {Pittsburgh Portrait & Family Photographer}

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Sarah since I was a kid.  When we were young, we played softball together.  Well, Sarah played softball – I rode the bench!  Sarah doesn’t know (but I guess she will once she reads this) that she was a huge part in building our photography business!  She saw some pictures we did of a wedding in August 2012 and told someone, who told someone else, who then told someone else … and here we find ourselves.  Her belief in our work has taken our business places that I hadn’t even imagined and for that I am forever grateful to her!!  I was honored that she chose us for her family photos.  I had the best time with her, her husband and their wonderfully entertaining children!

Enjoy….

Becca {Pittsburgh Senior & Portrait Photographer}

Becca is so beautiful (inside & out) and we had a great time with her during her senior session!

I’ve known Becca since I started helping out with youth group many years ago.  I was honored when she asked me to take her senior photos.   A couple times during the session I kept saying, “Gosh, it doesn’t look like you.”  I guess I like to think of her as a the little teenager I met many years ago!

Much luck to you, Becca, as you begin this new phase in your life.  It’s been a treat watching you grow up!

Love these little candid moments!

A few shots here by Tony.  I love having him shoot with me – while i’m posing Becca, he’s getting some great shots.  This little 3 picture collection would look great as a page in an album!!
