She has a lot to say, so I’ll leave it to her!  Here’s her story, in her own words:

1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot?  I’ve struggled for years with my self esteem, my confidence, among many other things including medical issues. I watched and waited, seeing other women go forth on their journey into “finding” their own kind of beautiful, I knew I had reached the point I could be bold and brave. My body fails all society’s expectations and I as a woman living with PCOS, always have been seen as the “lesser” woman. The shoot was an investment in myself finally, one of very few of my selfish acts in my life. It was for me, on my journey to F.L.Y (First Love Yourself)

2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot?  I booked my shoot, nervous. I worked out for weeks, trying to shape and form myself into something more presentable. Through the next few months, I was anxious and so self doubting, even considered cancelling a few times. I looked in the mirror and seen a girl who never feels pretty, who still sees the 395lbs she USED to carry, the girl who never was praised for being beautiful, a true OUTCAST in the world of beautiful women. I seen every flaw, every scar, every harsh word said to myself and from others. I walked millions of miles in my own silence, with my head low, giving the best of myself to everyone always thinking it was never enough because if I wasn’t beautiful, I could never be enough.

3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot?  I am empowered! I am strong! I am BEAUTIFUL! I love me and all the things I am capable of. I know now that what I don’t see is there in me and needs to be shared so desperately! I am a fierce woman with a strong soul, with an unmatched beauty in my heart, my personality, my attitude. I’m on a mission now to share every ounce of my being with the world and really show them that an image is made of more than just a body, beautiful is much more than skin deep and if you look into the eyes of a “broken” woman, there is a FIRE burning out of control! The proof is in all the photos I am consenting to release!

4) Describe your session in 3 words?  EMPOWERING! MAGICAL! DEFINING!

5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot?  The bonding Maura, she dumps everything into the shoot, she gives you the best direction, poses, she picked out the best outfits, she listens to your stories and she tells her own. There’s a level of comfort in everything that you are doing, you aren’t in front of a photographer, you’re in front of your best friend, a confidant, a woman who sees the world from so many different angles and takes the best for you. (no pun intended) From booking to the day of the session, she “held my hand” and her words calmed my nerves, gave me the best advice, and gave so much of herself to me. She does what she does so well because deep down she’s on a true mission to give us all the experience, the opportunity to see the fire in ourselves, to bring out our own special kind of beauty and she won’t hold back! The boudoir photo shoot was the best thing I could’ve done for myself, now I’m out here in this world empowering other women with my uplifted attitude, my personality has always been HUGE but now I’m reaching people on a whole new level and I will continue to! MAURA CHICK, I can’t tell you enough how much I love you and everything you’ve done for me!

6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot?  STOP STARING IN THE MIRROR, DO NOT KEEP GRABBING THAT LITTLE SIDE ROLL, DO NOT SAY YOU CAN’T DO IT! You may feel like you aren’t able to do this, you may feel that you aren’t confident enough, you aren’t pretty enough, you don’t have enough money, you can’t invest in yourself, you can’t, you won’t. BUT you CAN, you ARE, you WILL and you SHOULD! Give yourself the experience, in one day you will be filled with so much love and support that your head will spin, your heart will be bursting with joy and you smile, you laugh, you get in a groove and you’re doing things you never thought you would but OH LORD DOES IT FEEL SOOOOO GOOD!!! When you walk away after, you’re going to feel something in yourself that all this time you may be missing. Something deep inside you sprouts to live and it may be kind of uncomfortable at first, but don’t fight it, let it grow, think and talk about your session for the weeks to come. When your gallery is finished, look at the photos immediately, look at the woman you are and remember that is YOU, that is ALL OF YOU! FIRST LOVE YOURSELF! and just keep FLYing! 🙂
