Melissa & Michael {Pittsburgh – The Gathering Place – Wedding Photographer}

A quick preview of a few photos from Melissa and Michael’s beautiful wedding on Saturday at The Gathering Place at Darlington Lake.

It was certainly a warm day but there was a nice breeze by the lake. What a gorgeous venue – I really want to photograph a fall wedding here – can you just picture the colors?!?! 🙂 It’s a photographer’s dream! Everything is top notch at The Gathering Place!

Melissa had a first look with her father prior to the ceremony. I asked her to stand by the window and captured this photo! She was so excited to get married!

Here are their gorgeous rings! Isn’t Michael’s ring the coolest? It certainly was the most unique ring I’ve photographed.

AHHH MAGIC!!! When I took this photo, I actually screamed a little and ran over to show them the image on the back of the camera! It’s just an amazing moment!

Have I mentioned she was excited?!?! There is more to come from their wedding – just a few teasers for now! So excited to review everything we captured on their wedding day.

Shelly & Seth {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}

It was a bright and sunny day for Shelly & Seth’s wedding! I have enjoyed every moment of getting to know both of these beautiful people. Shelly & I hit it off the first moment we spoke, and every since then it’s been a treat to work with them.

Beautiful Hartwood Acres was the site of their ceremony and cocktail reception. What a gorgeous place to photograph – it happens to be one of my favorites!

Seth & Shelly opted to do a FIRST LOOK and have their photos taken prior to the ceremony. I love first looks and I really think every couple should consider this option. I loved being able to capture their reactions to each other in private without everyone else looking on.

Here’s a photo of Shelly as she’s walking toward Seth. She was so excited to see him!

I love how he makes her laugh!

He’s her superman!

This is something that is very special to Seth and Shelly. They will explain this to people who ask but I do know it’s one of their favorite photos from the wedding.

A few details form their day!

Kissing her forehead is something Seth frequently does and I loved being able to capture it!

A lace slip {Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer}

I’m sure you can image the number one question I get after someone has booked their boudoir session … here it goes … “Do you have any suggestions on what I should wear?”

I always tell clients that I want them to be comfortable and we want to make sure the outfits reflect them. In my full boudoir session guide that you receive after booking, I have a section on outfit selection and the things to look for when shopping & picking outfits, and some things to stay away from.

One of my loves and maybe even a must have for a boudoir session is lace. Oh, how I love lace!

Here are some photos from a past session with a black lace slip – it’s the trifecta!! Black, check. Slip, check. Lace, CHECK! 🙂

{Note – I think the technical term for this piece of clothing is a chemise, but I’ll just go with slip!}

There’s something about the softness in lace outfits and even with this outfit that is not totally revealing – it produced some amazing images. Of course, these are the website appropriate photos!

When shopping for outfits, remember lace!

Ann & Jesse {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}

Well, it was a rainy July day for Ann & Jesse’s beautiful wedding at the Edgeworth Club! Who cares about rain! These two were so excited to get married!

The one thing I’ll say about this couple is that they love to have fun – I was given hugs and multiple thanks throughout the day…and Jesse even pulled me into some of the dancing even with my protests of, “I’M WORKING!” He didn’t care – he wanted everyone to have fun and I’m pretty sure they did. There were people on the dance floor all night and smiles all around.

Congrats Ann and Jesse!! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!

Oh, how I love birdcage veils! And, you know how I feel – every bride should have a veil!

She was a stunning bride!!

It stopped raining for about 10 minutes – so I took them outside real quick for their wedding photos!

I adore those smiles!

Hayley’s Senior Photo Shoot

Working as a Cranberry Senior Photographer brings me a lot of joy. So you can only imagine that Hayley was such a JOY to photograph! We had so much fun during her session – as always, lots of laughs and lots of photos! I have loved every minute of working with Hayley and her mom.

My first impression of Hayley came to me when she sent me her outfit options, and I knew I was in for a treat. She was styling herself perfectly and I could tell by her selections she was an outgoing and fun-loving girl. And, boy was I right! She continued to impress me throughout the session as we talked and learned more about each other. I love getting to know my clients, and Hayley was no exception.

She’s so talented, to say the least, and I was impressed with all the activities she was involved in. Then the topic of musicals came up – LOVE! 🙂 I love musicals, and was happy to hear she loved them as well.

I can only imagine the great and amazing things that await in her future, and I was honored to be a part of her life – if just for her senior photos! It was an amazing experience and I wish her all the best!

Can’t wait for our paths to cross again….enjoy some of her photos!

Love the sparkle in her eyes in the next few photos! This girl shines so bright! That was cheesy, yes, but it’s true!

So I put Hayley in front of this fountain, and I just took at step back and looked at her mom and said, “Just take it all in. Look at your beautiful girl up there and she’s a senior!” A little emotional moment – I’m sure it’s a realization of all Hayley’s hard work and dedication.

This black dress is her performance dress….it’s so elegant!

I love fields of wildflowers. It’s so beautiful…well, I went back to this spot about a week later and they cut this down! What looks like weeds to someone else is a photographer’s dream. I was devastated! 🙂
