2014 Wedding Season kicked off for us earlier this month. A low-key and relaxed atmosphere is what we experienced for our first wedding this year, and it was fabulous to “get back into it”
It was a sunny but cold March day for Cindy and Ed’s wedding at Christ United Methodist Church in Bethel Park.
Cindy is one of the staff clergy at the church and generously opened up her wedding ceremony to the entire church. It was a packed house, which goes to show how much she is loved within her community. I can certainly see why – since the moment I met Cindy, we had an immediate connection. We were constantly laughing … and, well, we could have talked for hours but she always had places to go and people to see!
After their ceremony, Cindy & Ed had a cake reception at the Christian Life Center at the church. It was great to watch her interact with everyone. The one thing I can say about Cindy is that she’s passionate!
I can’t even begin to tell you how excited she was to marry Ed. And, Ed was excited to marry Cindy. He said to me multiple times that this whole wedding was, “just for her.” And, he’d do anything for her. Awww, melt my heart.
Cindy and Ed opted to do a first look so that we could take photos prior to the ceremony. This photo of Cindy was taken right before Ed walked in the door of the church library.

Don’t you just love the back of her dress??

They allowed me to take them right outside the church to snap some quick photos. It was cold but Cindy was a trooper!

See…you can just FEEL her happiness and excitement in this photo!
Can’t wait to see all the trees in bloom outside the church! I bet they look amazing in spring!

This is probably my favorite photo of the day. She’s walking into the sanctuary, ready to get married! She was so joyful as she was getting ready to walk down the aisle!

Ed met Cindy halfway down the aisle. I love her true emotion in this photo!
In the Christian Life Center, ready to eat cake. Loved the way she was looking at him.

OK, so here was Cindy’s BIG SURPRISE to Ed….she had told me that there was nothing she could buy him as a wedding day gift. So, her idea was to sing to him during their cake reception! It was so beautiful – she sang “I’ve Dreamed of You” – it was a sweet and tender moment.
Right after she finished singing. He was completely surprised.
And, now their first dance. Cindy made Ed promise that he would dance with her – just once!

I enjoy the content look on Ed’s face.

Congrats, Cindy and Ed! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
