Wow.  WOW.  WOWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

Miss K here is getting married in September.  Imagine when her future husband opens his wedding day gift and sees drop dead gorgeous photos of his bride.  I wish I could be a fly on the wall….and maybe I can be since we’ll be photographing their wedding.

The Hogue Family {Pittsburgh Family Photographer}

This is a family that I hold very close to my heart.

I’ve been friends with Aaron since I was a kid.  He brought Beth into my life and I’m forever grateful for that.  Beth and her family have become a large part of my life, and Beth has been one of the most supportive friends I’ve ever had.  I was in Beth & Aaron’s wedding and she was in mine & Tony’s.  I love her for so many reasons – she was one of the first people to support & encourage our photography business.  One day I opened the back door to leave the house and there was a package there…from Beth.  It was a photography book by Annie Leibovitz.  Beth is so thoughtful, kind caring…I could go on and on about her.  I love her to pieces.

Beth’s parents, Greg & Amy, have been a blessing to me.  I remember 3 years ago going to Beth’s baby shower at their house and was somewhat depressed – well, not “somewhat” – I WAS depressed.  Beth’s father hugged me as I left and gave me some encouraging words that helped carry me thru the next few months.  Greg & Amy are the sweetest people you’d ever meet in your life.

I can’t leave out Beth’s brother, Tom, and his wife Gretchen.  Always including us in family events and helping us out any way they can.  For example, this Christmas we needed an electrician to come to the house quickly to fix some lights.  Tom sent someone out to help that day…I mean the guy was at our house within an hour of talking to Tom.  I’m so appreciative of everything they’ve done for us.

I was extremely honored when they hired us to do a family photo shoot for them.  It can be stressful for me to do a shoot with a family I know so well.  But, we had a GREAT time and I hope they treasure their pictures as much as I do.  Enjoy!!

I love how Greg & Amy were interacting with each other…Then Millie decided that she had enough of the photo shoot …and we JUST started.  This is a true life moment – and I love capturing those and sharing them with clients 🙂

Sweet little Nora..Aaron and Beth’s second child.

Grandma & Grandpa with their grandkids.

Amy with her mom.

Love how Aaron is looking at Beth here.

I adore Nora’s baby chub!! 🙂

Nora is so big that Beth can hardly pick her up!

This picture is very near and dear to my heart.  My grandfather was my BFF so I cherish these grandfather/granddaughter pictures.  I hope Addie adores this picture as much as I do…she’ll appreciate it when she’s older!

A little collage of Tom’s family.  We’ll be photographing them in October for their fall/Christmas pictures!  Can’t wait to photograph you guys again!

Dave loves Shannon {Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer}

It was a beautiful (and sunny) June day for a wedding.  My favorite musical is Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and one of the songs says, “Oh, they say when you marry in June, you’re a bride all your life..”

Shannon and Dave had perfect weather.  Their wedding was at a cute little church in Valencia with their reception at the Cranberry Marriott.  We had very little time in between the ceremony and the reception to take pictures, but I was able to get some quick photos before everyone jumped in the limo to get to the reception!

I’ve enjoyed getting to know Shannon & Dave and I look forward to our next photography venture with them!

Shannon’s ready to go!!!

Dave got Shannon the book Love Letters from Great Men.  He wrote something for her…

Love this shot of Shannon right before she got in her dress.

Shannon & Maid of Honor, Nicole.  I love how excited Nicole looks in this picture.

Get me to the church!!!!!

As I said, we didn’t have much time for photographs so I just quietly pulled Shannon aside in her holding room prior to the ceremony to snap some quick pictures.

Dave and Shannon’s son Luca

LOVED THIS!!  (And that’s one of their engagement pictures)

Love the look on Shannon’s face in the next few photos.

Again, with limited photo time, we snapped some quick pictures right outside the church.

Such a soft sweet moment between the new husband and wife.

One of the last shots of the night.  Love this silhouette of Shannon.Some reception photos of the bride and groom.  Congrats, Mr. and Mrs. Colamarino!!!

2013 Rachel Carson Trail Challenge {Pittsburgh Sports & Event Photographers}

We had a BLAST photographing the Rachel Carson Trail Challenge.  For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s a GRUELING 35-mile trail challenge traversing the hills of the Pittsburgh area.  The run/hike must be completed by sunset.  Start sunrise, finish by sunset.  What a feat!!!!!

Thanks to all the hikers and trail runners we encountered on Saturday – you all are superstars!!!!  Congrats on even attempting such a challenge.  Kudos, props to you, hooray!!! 🙂

I am always impressed with those I meet during the challenge.  As a hiker myself, I think the hiking community is one of the most friendliest I’ve come across.  I can’t tell you how many hikers THANKED us for being out there taking pictures.  I was trying to give them encouragement or make a joke or two to lighten the mood as they made their way up those hills but to hear them thank me was humbling.  Much love to you all!!!!

I covered Rich Hill, Tony covered Log Cabin Hill and then I stopped at Bailey’s Run to grab some photos.  Here are links to the albums on our online storage site.

I have loaded some pictures to our Facebook page (link below) – feel free to tag yourself in any pictures loaded.  I obviously can’t load 1,400 pictures to Facebook but I’ve selected a few that I enjoy.  If there is a picture in our online site that you’d like to see on Facebook, please message us and I’d be happy to put it on for you.
