Today, I leave the blog to my beautiful client who shares about her boudoir experience!

1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot?  Boudoir photo shoots are a wonderful way to capture yourself at different points throughout your life. They require you to step out of your comfort zone and embody a side of yourself that you rarely get to see. Because they are very intimate, they are a great way to catalog your personal journey through life.

2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot?  I am very self aware. Which is good and bad. Almost like a roller coaster ride. On good days I feel great but on most days I am very aware of my aging flaws.

3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot?  These photo shoots are a dedicated period of time to concentrate on the beautiful parts of yourself. Even the flaws are flaunted and it is a very uplifting and positive experience. In life as a mother you can forget that there is more to you than what you see in every day life. This is a wonderful reminder and every time you look at the pictures you get to relive those. They are timeless.

4) Describe your session in 3 words?  Empowering, fun, exciting

5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot?  My favorite part of the shoot was including my husband and pregnant belly in such a personal and intimate way.

6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot?  Maura is a true professional who has a gift of making women see themselves in the best light possible. I think a boudoir photo shoot should be done every few years just like family pictures. With each age we celebrate something different as women and this is a wonderful way to keep those moments forever. You will never wish you didn’t have the shoot done. You will only wish you did.

Plain and simple I have THE most amazing clients!  This gorgeous beauty was my live shoot muse for the shoot I conducted in my private boudoir VIP group on Facebook.  I do live shoots 3-4 times a year in the group – I LOVE giving people an inside look into the boudoir process.

My client was very active in the group in sharing about herself as she we approached the shoot and she was so open and honest during her pre-session interview!  I have a special place in my heart for these ladies that open up to me so incredibly much!

Clients come to me for many reasons – some to celebrate their relationships, some to push their limits, some to step out of their comfort zones and some to gain a new found self esteem!  We’ve only got one body in this life and we need to learn to appreciate that body…it’s going to be with you forever!  I’m a huge fan of learning to love who were are…because after all – our looks don’t define the person we are – it’s just out outward appearance.  Do I wish I could lose the 30 pounds I’ve gained last year?  Yes.  Does that extra weight change WHO I am as a person?  Absolutely not.  Let’s celebrate our beauty and enhance that self esteem that is so incredibly important.

1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot?  For myself and my self esteem and figured my husband would enjoy it as well.

2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot?  Not very good after having two kids and the other stress of life.

Who is She? A stunner at 50.  But, more importantly, someone who takes care of her son who was injured in an accident.  She’s always focused on the well-being of others.

Why Did She Do a Boudoir Photo Shoot?  To celebrate herself….what better reason!  She wanted to celebrate the fact that she turned 50 and give herself a day that she’s reminded of the woman she is!  I think she’s so busy taking on the role of caregiver that she forgets to give herself care.  It was my HONOR to give her my attention for the day – it make something ALL ABOUT HER!  After all, that’s the best part of this job.  I loved the time I spent with her!

What Were Her Lingerie Selections?  Lots of good stuff to be had in her outfit selections, plus I threw in one outfit from my collection.  She had a few pieces from Victoria’s Secret…with some killer thigh highs.  And, a piece from Yandy.  And, well, my collection is too extensive to remember where I got the sparkly bodysuit! 🙂

Favorite Moment: Am I a broken record if I say everything?!?  The entire day was very special for me.  I’m always connected to my clients but more so with her.  I was drawn to her personal story and knew that she NEEDED this shoot.  It was a treasure to share this moment with her and watch her to be herself, unapologetically!
