In this blog post, I turn it over to my client who shared the below in my private boudoir group the day after her photo shoot.  Please take a moment to read this – she’s an INSPIRATION!

When I was younger, I took dance classes, for recitals, it was hair and makeup for everyone but only the “true star” of the recital had their name on a door. Yesterday, as I climbed the stairs to the studio, I looked up at this big beautifully decorated door and for once in almost 30 years, I seen MY NAME! Wednesday November 30, 2016, I finally made it to “star status” I had a door with my name. To me, it was a true sign of greatness to come.

Finally meeting Maura after countless rants and raves via email, it was like hugging my big sister from another mister! Talking with an old friend, like coming home to my best friends discussing new outfits and events in the past weeks. There was no nerves after that. I found another part of my tribe!

I’m a pizza shop girl, money is tight and makeup is rarely done, everything is appreciated because you can’t always have nice things when you work for circus peanuts and spare change. My serving tips went into new outfits and paying for my shoot because I wanted my true Cinderella story. I wanted my fairy tale. I over packed, I took literally everything I could find to “hide” myself in and Maura stepped right away from them, a few eye rolls and comments of disbelief because of the sizing!
(Yes you were right, I’m not those sizes anymore!)

Pre-shoot interview was raw, I don’t think I’ve ever truly admitted those things to myself let alone in front of a camera, but I felt some strange sense of relief after I answered the questions.

Like any star, the show had to go on…the hair, the makeup, the outfits and NOW THE MAGIC! The poses, the directions, the accessories, it all became instinctual for me. I found myself feeding off Maura’s energy and her non-verbal communications. I love people because I love to read their faces and their gestures, even if we weren’t “hootin’ and howlin'” over the pics, there was FIRE in Maura’s eyes which drove me to just let loose. Before I even realized it, the phrase “you’re killing it” was getting passed around and BOOOM! I earned my pose! yes! YES, stardom! For those of you who have your pose, I’m pretty sure you can understand what I’m saying/feeling here. I EARNED my pose!

I trusted Maura from before the moment I booked my shoot back in September, I sat here every day for a very long time watching this group and seeing all these lovely ladies post about their shoots. I sat here, a broken 29 year old woman who has been fighting an “invisible” disease for over a decade wishing to look, feel and be beautiful even for just one day….

Yesterday…that dream came true! But I could’ve never done it without all the love and support from Maura and all those amazing women in this group!

This isn’t the last of what I need to say about my experience, I’ve already started writing the memoir to be shared far and wide. I think I’m even going to send a copy to Maura to use however she may see fit, but a few words in a Facebook group or conversations with people near and dear to me can’t do this experience enough justice! I’m sure it’s pretty evident in my Post Shoot interview too!”

Who is She & Why Did She Do a Shoot?  She’s a wonderful woman who works at a dentist’s office. She wanted to do a boudoir celebrate herself … and maybe share some photos with her awesome boyfriend!  She was just in Disney dancing a few days prior to her shoot!

What were her lingerie selections?  She had a couple great pieces from Yandy, which is a great site that has a large selection of items at a reasonable cost.  She did have a bodysuit from Asos that she saw me share in my VIP group, and I styled her in one of the bodysuits in my collection!  She rocked her outfits!!

Favorite Moment:  I’ve never met anyone who can “pop your booty” better than this woman!  I saw that a lot during boudoir photo shoots and she knew exactly what I wanted…and man, did that booty pop! haha 🙂  That really helps in creating curves!  Sometimes we have to make curves – especially for really skinny women.  So, curves go in both ways – some have them and I enhance them, and others I have to shape their body and shoot from the right angel.  She was so amazing and everything boudoir!

1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot?  I’ve heard stories from friends & past clients. I just had to experience it for myself! Shoot was strictly for me, truly was an experience of a life time!

2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot?  I was a little nervous, was for sure stepping out of my comfort zone. Soon as I stepped in the door, those nervous were left at the door!

3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot?  Amazing, beautiful, sexy, awesome, wonderful, attractive, pretty, hot, gorgeous. I truly felt like a super model!

4) Describe your session in 3 words?  Amazing Rewarding Once in a lifetime experience (ok I know thats more than three words lol)

5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot?  The whole day was an amazing experience! From being pampered with hair & make up before hand to spending the day with Maura. Truly an amazing experience! Maura is an amazing woman, a true saint!

6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot?  No matter your size or shape, you MUST experience this at least once in your life! Even if there isn’t anyone to share the photos with, do it for YOURSELF! You won’t be disappointed!
