I’ve said it before but sometimes the impact of my boudoir photo shoots even leave me speechless.  I have a very supportive group of clients that continue to show me that I’m on the path I’m meant to be on in my life.  In my group on Facebook, one of these amazing clients shared this with the group.  I thought it was so important that I share it here for you:

“I just wanted to share a late night thought with all of the incredible women who are a part of this empowering group…. As some of you might know, I had the opportunity to be photographed by Maura. A dear friend of mine shared her experience with me and I was moved by her story. I had to experience it for myself!

Shortly after the conversation I had with my friend, I found myself emailing Maura and asking her tons of questions (which she so graciously and patiently answered). I wasn’t doing the shoot for a boyfriend, husband, or significant other…I was doing it for ME!

A tomboy through and through, it was time for me to see a beauty that I never knew was there. To me, that beauty was a light deep down inside of me that Maura saw and helped me to see. She was snapping pictures as fast as her shutter would allow, until she stopped. She looked at me and said, “you don’t know how beautiful you are, do you?” My reply was a very matter of fact, “nope!” She turned her camera around and said, “open your eyes…you need to see what I see,” and there on the screen was a woman whom I’ve never seen before, but she was me.

Maura brought the light out in me and I’ve forever been changed. For any one of you ladies who haven’t had the opportunity to discover your true beauty, spend a day in the studio with Maura and her truly wonderful crew. I promise you that you will never regret it❤️

Who is She? This Chick Clique beauty is a stunning woman who was ready to see herself in a new and sexy way.  Enter Maura..

Why Did She Do a Boudoir Photo Shoot?  She invested in a boudoir photo shoot for her wedding day gift.  She was excited to show her fiancé a new side of herself, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to be blown away with what he sees.

What Were Her Lingerie Selections?  Another boudoir client with so many great selections.  She used a Victoria’s Secret bra & panty set that she had for a while – one that was around in the early days of dating her fiancé.  She had a couple other bra and panty sets from Victoria’s secret.  A great white slip that was so amazing – especially for a bridal boudoir photo shoot.  And, one of my favorites was a white tank top that I convinced her needed to get wet!  Last buy not least, all she wore were my pearls…but you’d never see those photos!

Favorite Moment: So, so many – as is typical with my shoots.  What I remember most about her shoot was the amount of time we spent laughing!  Yes, we laugh during these shoots.  I’m not a stuffy photographer – I like to have fun with my clients…and have fun we did!  In between those laughing moments, killer boudoir photos.

Who is This Chick Clique Beauty?  This gorgeous woman is a mother of two amazing boys.  She’s a mom and wife who puts everyone in front of herself.  She’s someone who was concerned with a little “saggy” belly after having two kids, and said, “I’m shy about my body and getting my picture so I normally wouldn’t consider this until I read others experience.”

Why Did She Do a Boudoir Photo Shoot?  Her session was for her 10 year anniversary.  She wanted to wow him with some awesome photos of herself while getting pampered in the process.

What Were Her Lingerie Selections?  Wow, she had so many wonderful things for her boudoir outfits.  An amazing bodysuit, a killer bra & panty set, a babydoll, an amazing white sheer outfit, a sheer skirt, and stunning sequin panties (Side note – everyone should have at least one pair of sequin panties)!  She had items from Victoria’s Secret, FreePeople, NastyGal, and Yandy!  I love that she used my advice and looked at a bunch of different places!

Favorite Moment:  I always have a hard time answering this question about my shoots.  I love every part of photographing a boudoir session.  I got a huge smile after I sent her her gallery of photos and she wrote back and told me she was already planning her next photo shoot with me!  Hadn’t even received photos from the first and already planning the next!  The truth is – I CAN’T WAIT to get her back in front of my camera.  She’s a rockstar.
