It’s usually all about celebrating something amazing in your life! Below are the top 4, but any reason to take time for yourself is a great one!

1. Wedding – Weddings are the perfect time to book a boudoir session. It’s when you are beaming with love and excitement! It’s also a great way to document such an important time in your life… and as a bonus, it makes a super sexy gift to give your spouse!

2. Anniversary – This is probably the most popular shoot. I love shooting anniversaries and I love helping women give their husband something to remind them that their wife is a bombshell! It’s an awesome way to turn on (*wink wink*) the creativity for your spouse’s gift!

3. Plastic Surgery / Transformation -Whether it’s plastic surgery, weight loss or even a brand new hairdo, this type of shoot always feels like a celebration! It’s really awesome to photograph someone with a brand new confidence in themselves!

4. Just Because – This is my favorite reason for clients to come in! For no other reason than for yourself. It’s a day to step out of your comfort zone, to feel special and to forget about everything else. And you are worth it!

No matter the reason, my mission is always the same – I want to help each client feel amazing about who they are in this moment, capture their essence and give them a confidence that permeates into the rest of their life.

A Day About Her

Clients come from near and far for a Pittsburgh Boudoir Photography photo shoot. This client drove over FOUR HOURS for her shoot and was so excited upon arrival! After FOUR HOURS! 🙂

Who is this Chick Clique Beauty? This amazing woman is approaching 30 who recently got a new job. She lives far from the studio, drove a distance more than any other before for her boudoir photo shoot. Immediately before her session she had a rough couple of days. Not sure she should go thru with her session, I reassured her that the session was EXACTLY what she needed, and that I would make it all about her. A day of pampering and beauty – everything for her!

Why Did She Do a Boudoir Photo Shoot? When she originally contacted me about her sexy photo shoot, she said the reason was twofold – one is because her boyfriend loves her and the other half was because she’s always wanted to do this for herself. Unfortunately, a few days before her shoot, said boyfriend broke up with her upon his arrival home from deployment. So, the reason for her shoot ended up being that she needed a day for herself – to only focus on her.

What Were Her Lingerie Selections? She had some amazing lingerie selections, and we mixed in a few things from my boudoir outfit collection that’s open to clients to use. She had two wonderful bra & panty sets from AdoreMe, an awesome pair of panties from Victoria’s Secret that I paired with a black sheer shirt that I have (no bra – wink, wink), a great Victoria’s Secret chemise with a cute detail on the back, and finally she brought the coconut white panties to use with my lace top from Victoria’s Secret. She had a great variety in her outfits, which is essential to a great collection of boudoir photos.

Favorite Moment: The whole day. Well, that’s true. The whole day was simply amazing, but my favorite moment was when I showed her a photo on the back of the camera. Tears almost came out .. but it was early on and I didn’t want to ruin her makeup so I made a stupid joke! Honestly, I loved getting her mind off everything that was going on in her life!

I shared the below message in my private boudoir group on Facebook! I thought it was an important message so I’m putting it in a blog post for everyone’s benefit!

Here it goes:

LISTEN UP >> I’m here to show you how beautiful you are! I don’t make that beauty – you ARE that beauty! I love showcasing REAL women. And, real woman are skinny, curvy, lumpy, round, smooth, have stretch marks, scars … we all need to embrace who we are and what we have, and let our beauty shine!

There is no such thing as perfect. Striving for perfection is going to leave you empty. I’m sure there are some skinny women who wish they could add a few pounds, curvy girls who wish they could drop a few pounds, women who wish they had those stretch marks from pregnancy, women who are comfortable the way they are. Always remember: You are fine just the freaking way you are – whatever that is!

My photos are of real women who step in front of my camera each and every day, never models. Real women, like you, who came to me for a boudoir shoot. These real women are ones who stepped out of their comfort zone to contact me about a session, were brave enough to book a shoot even though they were super nervous, had courage to walk thru the door, stood confident in who they are in next to nothing, who allowed me to show them their beauty thru my lens, and are PROUD to show off their photos. The benefit is far reaching. And, I humbly thank those women who allow me to showcase their photos – they are in fact real women who are happy to put themselves in front of you to show you that you too can do this! We are all perfectly imperfect!

Each and every one of you is so amazing – I truly believe that. I thank my clients profusely for allowing me to give them this experience. The client I’m featuring today … well, she gained so much more than renewed confidence — she saw a change in her relationship. Sometimes the impact of these sessions even leaves me floored…is that even possible?!?! 🙂 I’m here. I’m ready for you. Let’s focus on your beauty together and who knows what impact it could have on your life!

I’ve known Molly for years. Our friendship began when I was a mentor for the church youth group, and after she graduated from high school and I moved on from youth group, we remained friends. It’s so special for me to photograph someone who I’ve been friends with for years. Molly has let me use her as my muse for other photo shoot ideas I’ve had so I was super excited when she asked me to be her wedding photographer!

First up are her engagement photos .. and wow! These two are absolutely fantastic and so in love! I love photographing love … well, that should be obvious!

What’s my one favorite thing about this couple? Well, it’s hard to pick just one. But, what I noticed so much during their photo shoot was the constant reassurance Cody would give Molly when she was doubting certain things. I loved his encouragement and enthusiasm, and his very evident love for my dear friend! And, well I love the way these two look at each other – the love, laughs, smiles – just EVERYTHING!

Congrats Molly & Cody – I’m looking forward to celebrating your wedding with you in November!

I always love when clients take the time to give me some feedback about their boudoir experience. Sometimes even I get a little shocked when I read these emails…but I always end up crying (am I THAT big of a sap?!?) because I know I’ve done for my client what I’m called to do in my life. And, there is no greater feeling in giving women an experience that they so desperately need – even if they don’t know they need it at first! 🙂

I mentioned before that I imagined this really quiet place with classical music playing and barely any speaking other than “Look that way”, or “Put your hand there”. But (for lack of a better term) OH HELL NO! The energy, the music, the laughter…it was everything I didn’t know I needed. I felt SO relaxed amongst the chaos (as it were) and can’t remember having more fun in front of a camera.

THANK YOU for making this momma of two crazy boys feel beautiful. I honestly haven’t felt that way since before I got pregnant. And I felt like since I’m a mom now, I’d never have my sexy back. You proved it’s still there, I just had to find it again. And thanks for allowing me some ME time. Part of “mommy mode” is that everyone comes first. I forgot how nice it is to take some time and do something for ME.

And last, but certainly not least, THANK YOU for being YOU! You are the funniest, most sincere, most genuine, and most real person I’ve ever met. Like I said when I was there, I feel like if we weren’t separated by 2.5 hours, we could be BFFs. You have given me more out of my session than I ever imagined I would get, and for that I am eternally grateful.
