It was a glorious (ahem … and cold) early October Saturday for Bri and Greg’s fabulous wedding! We have had a blast getting to know Bri and Greg and being a part of their wedding day was something very special to us. I knew we’d have a great time with them – we did – but we also had a great time with their families! Watching everyone celebrate Bri and Greg’s marriage was amazing – happy tears, smiles, laughter and just absolute JOY!

After one of the last photos of the evening, I was talking to one of Greg’s sisters who had shared with me that a lot of her wedding photos were lost by their photographer (yikes), and I went on to share how Tony and I don’t enjoy our wedding photos. After that conversation, I yelled to Greg’s mom and sister, “Well, I’m the Boerio family photographer now!!” Yup, I was that comfortable with them to just insert myself into their lives! We all laughed after I said that! 🙂 I LOVE MY JOB! I love getting to know my couples and their families!

Bri & Greg – Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day! Can’t wait to see all that the future holds for you two, and I hope we’re there to capture all those moments!

Here’s something cool – Bri & Greg asked me to join them at the rehearsal to grab some city photos of them because they knew we wouldn’t have time to do this the day of the wedding. It was a great chance for me to meet everyone beforehand and get to know how the ceremony would be run. We had time for a few photos in the Strip District.

I start off their wedding day with a photo of the handsome groom! 177

I love being able to capture emotion during wedding day. Just pure emotion and nothing contrived. These are Greg’s parents after his mom lit the unity candle with Bri’s mom. 199

This may seem like a strange ceremony photo for the blog post but I loved the private and intimate nature of this photo.

After the family and traditional bridal party photos at the church, I always love to spend a few minutes with the couple doing some additional photos inside the church. Isn’t this church gorgeous?!?

This boudoir photo shoot was months in the making. I found this location and I knew I needed to use it for a boudoir photo shoot and I knew the perfect person to be my “model” – she was simply perfection during her first shoot with me.

It worked out as perfect as I had imagined! This type of boudoir is no for everyone and is something completely different from my other work. I love to push my limits in my photography and trying new things is going to keep me fresh and passionate about this job!

I found this abandoned building in April and knew it would be a perfect spot for an outdoor boudoir because it’s quite secluded! I really enjoyed this photo shoot and am excited to share some of the photos with you.

If you are interested in an outdoor boudoir session or want to do something more edgy, please mention that to me upon booking. You can also add this information to the pre-session questionnaire!

We spent a good amount of time inside the building but did get outside to get some of the nice sunlight! Love these “disco shorts” 🙂

Did you doing that being a boudoir photographer is the highlight of my life?!!? haha. If you follow my blog or have read any of my boudoir posts, you can tell that I LOVE my job. And, I’m so thankful to be able to say that I love what I do – I’m not sure everyone is as lucky as I am. You can also tell how much I love boudoir by looking at all the blog tips I’ve posted about boudoir this year. I love helping clients plan for their sessions and giving them as much information as possible is my job. I want to be able to prepare you, give you tips, let you know what works, what doesn’t work — you will have more information that you’ll probably ever need before stepping into the studio.

This beautiful woman brought one lingerie item to her photo shoot – this beautiful bra and panty set, which she totally rocked! Everything else we used during her session was from my small collection of items. In addition to giving you information, I also helping with styling, so any questions you have on what to buy, I am more than happy to answer. Plus, if there’s something you want to buy and I already have it in my collection, you get to save money! 🙂

Meet the New Studio Addition

Life is pretty darn good as a Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer! Today I’m showcasing some photos with a new addition to the studio.

So, a few months back I had one of my clients bring a Persian rug to her session. She and her husband sold these rugs and she knew he’d love to see some sexy photos of her laying on the rug. Well, my creative juices exploded when she brought this huge rug into the studio and we unrolled it! It was amazing! I caught a glimpse of the price tag and knew I’d never be able to afford it.

I knew after that boudoir shoot that I wanted to find a similar rug so that I can use it during some of my sessions. I found the perfect rug after lots of research and have been able to use it a few times!

Here are just a few photos with the rug. It’s nice to be able to add this when the mood strikes me AND that I can offer lots of different setups to my clients! I have so much stuff that I could probably spend 4 hours on each photo shoot! HA! No one would last that long, but I have to say that it’s so great to be able to offer a good selection to my clients.

After the rug, I just had to get this gorgeous woman on the floor! 🙂

Beauty In All Sizes – Plus Size Boudoir

If you’ve read some of my other posts, you know that I used to be extremely overweight. I understand the plight of plus size women (gosh, I really hate that term) – I remember worrying about whether I could fit into the booth at a restaurant, could I squeeze my butt into those seats on roller coasters. Yes, those were real worries I had all those years ago.

Last week, a potential client completed the boudoir session questionnaire and asked if I had experience with plus size women. If you look thru my blog and prior shoots, you can see that I show women of all different sizes. That’s very important to me. I don’t hire models to showcase my boudoir work. The women you see on my site are real women, real clients who have graciously let me share their photos. Whenever I do a “model call” to test out studio changes, I am looking for women who want the boudoir experience. Never models.

You see, I truly feel that boudoir photo shoots are for every woman. I have to know how to work with all body types and I embrace my curvy ladies! Nothing should hold you back from having this amazing experience. It’s normal to be nervous but together we’ll work thru those nerves!

I love that this beautiful woman, along with all my curvy girls, embraced all she had and jumped head first into a boudoir photo shoot. I wish I had had her courage all those years ago – I wish I had had that “who gives a crap what other people think” attitude. I applaud her for that! She was so amazing to work with and trusted me throughout the boudoir process, and I love that women can trust me to do this for them. My heart is filled with joy.
