Josh – 2013 BHS Senior! {Pittsburgh Senior & Portrait Photographer}

Josh is one of those seniors who procrastinate … and wait … and wait … to get their senior pictures done.  I was happy to be able to get together with him.  Josh is hoping to attend Slippery Rock soon to major in nursing.  It’s so great to see a kid so willing to give and serve as a nurse.  My mother is an RN and I know how truly talented these individuals are…best of luck Josh!!!

Gettin’ Hitched – Phil & Tara {Pittsburgh Engagement & Wedding Photographer}

We had a terrific time at Tara & Phil’s engagement session.  We had two spots – Old Economy Village and Robin Hill Park.  Both locations were great.

Tara had visited Old Economy when she was a kid and had fond memories of the place, so she wanted to have her engagement pictures taken there.  Phil & Tara coordinated directly with the staff at Old Economy to arrange for our use of the grounds – it’s not free and there are rules! 🙂  And, I understand why.  The grounds are absolutely beautiful and if everyone had access to them there would be people all over the place having their pictures taken.  A staff member followed us around during our shoot – they were nice and friendly – but wanted to make sure we followed the rules.

Here are a few of our favorites from their session.  They will be getting married this September!

2014 Senior – Kevin – Blackhawk High School {Pittsburgh Senior & Portrait Photographer}

Meet Kevin.

Kevin will be a senior next year at Blackhawk High School.  We had such a great time with Kevin on our photo shoot.  Most boys are timid or shy around the camera – not Kevin.  He was ready and willing to do what we asked, which was great!

Here are some of my favorites from our shoot

Goin’ to the Chapel – Shannon & Dave {Pittsburgh Engagement & Wedding Photographer}

On June 1, Shannon and Dave will be gettin’ hitched!  We got to spend some time with them for engagement photos.  They brought Luca, Shannon’s son, to the shoot to get some family photographs.  Luca and Tony became fast friends and Tony spent most of his time running after Luca, and got some great shots of him in the process.

Can’t wait for their wedding in June…it’s quickly approaching!!

I love how Luca looked back at them even though I told him to look at me!

Luca is a ball full of energy.

This looks like an old antique postcard

So dreamy…..she’s exactly where she needs to be and Dave protects her and gives her comfort.  Gushing!!

He’s a looker for sure!

Below capture is from Tony!  Love how Dave’s trying to get it but Shannon’s holding back just a little! 🙂

Sayin’ I do – Jen & Mike {Pittsburgh Engagement & Wedding Photographer}

It was a great honor of mine to tag along on this engagement session with my mentor, Heather Lahtinen (WeddingsByHeather.com).

Heather has helped (and is still helping) mold me as a photographer.  I’ve invested a lot of time into her teachings and I’ve come out FAR better for it.  I’ve learned more from her than any book or college professor could teach me.  Not only is she an amazing photographer but she’s my life coach and a Jesus freak….needless to say I LOVE HER!!!  I was honored when she asked me to come along with her on this shoot – It’s great to see her in action.  And, I got a real good sense of Tony’s job during our shoots with our clients.  I didn’t have to worry about posing anyone, making sure things weren’t sticking out heads, etc … I said to Heather in the middle of the session, “Tony has the easy photography job!”  I’m sure he’d disagree but it’s nice working as a team.

Thanks Heather for letting me be a fly on the wall!  Can’t wait for the wedding…
