Who is She? An amazing woman who decided to invest in a boudoir photo shoot to celebrate herself!  Her wedding was recently called off and she was convinced that now was the time to do something just for her.  I loved that she trusted me to uplift her, provide her some positivity and show her how beautiful she truly is!

What Were Her Lingerie Selections? Proper outfit selections are always critical – especially for curvy boudoir clients.  She had some great outfits from Lane Bryant, a bra & panty set from Victoria’s Secret (that we paired with an awesome flannel shirt), and a beautiful off the shoulder sweater.

Favorite Moment: Still a hard question for me to answer because everything about these shoots are so wonderful for me.  I honestly loved seeing her smile.  I know that she’s been through a difficult few months so watching her enjoy herself while getting some super awesome photos!  Sometimes it takes someone else to remind us of how amazing and wonderful we are, and I think I reminded her of just that.  She’s so fabulous and I was overjoyed when she told me that everything about her shoot was exactly what she needed.

1) Why did you decide to invest in a boudoir photo shoot?  I really wanted to boost my confidence. I’ve struggled so much with feeling good as a woman because I’ve always been such a tomboy growing up, I’ve gained a lot of weight the last 2 years from being in and out of the hospital, and most recently, I have found out that it’s going to be very difficult for me to have kids due to some medical issues. I invested in this at first to do something for my husband but in the end I honestly believe this did more for me than it could ever for him!

2) How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot?  Terrible! I didn’t feel confident like I did growing up. I didn’t feel very feminine. I felt like I wasn’t giving my husband the woman he deserved. He never made me feel ugly. He’s that man who tells me a million times a day how beautiful I am and how much he loves me but due to a few years of difficult times, I just wasn’t happy with myself.

3) How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot?  To be completely honest there’s no single word that could sum up my feelings after the shoot. I cried on the way home because for the first time in a long time I felt beautiful. I felt feminine and womanly. If womanly is even a real word. I felt hopeful and confident. I felt like I wasn’t alone. Most importantly I felt grateful. I can’t begin to tell people how eternally grateful I will always be for Maura and that photo shoot. I don’t look at anybody of any size and think “I wish I could give my husband that.” or “I wish I could look like her.” Instead I look at other women and think, “I could rock that.” or “How could I make that work for me?”

4) Describe your session in 3 words?  Sexy Inspiring Uplifting

5) What was your favorite part of the boudoir photo shoot?  Maura just has a way of making people feel confident and sexy. My favorite part was that her and even the hair and makeup artist were so inviting and made me feel so confident the whole time.

6) What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot?  Don’t wait to book. Your body is constantly changing. Don’t be afraid. I was you at one point. I was nervous and thought those thoughts. “What if I’m too fat?” “What if my body’s not fit for boudoir?” “What will other people think?” Your body is your body and it’s beautiful. IF you still don’t believe this then do a shoot with Maura and let her show you how absolutely beautiful you are and how absolutely beautiful you should feel.

WOO HOO!  I just love getting to work with so many amazing women and producing boudoir photos Pittsburgh is a true joy!  Yes, I jump around, scream and DANCE MY BUTT OFF when we hit the photo jackpot during a shoot!  Today, I’m highlighting a session that was perfect from beginning to end and one that I styled!

Who is She? An amazing woman who is a wife and mother of two amazing young boys.  She works and takes care of her family and is extremely dedicated to everyone in her life!

What Were Her Lingerie Selections? To her benefit, I styled her shoot!  She just got to show up and get all glam!  All these items are in my collection that is available for clients to use.  I used a bodysuit from Victoria’s Secret, a maroon high neck bodysuit from Asos (my favorite retailer for bodysuits), a sequin cami from Asos, and she brought a bra and panty set from VS as well!  It was a killer outfit selection!

Favorite Moment: I don’t even know what to say here.  She was perfection from beginning to end.  I thoroughly enjoyed watching her take some time for herself.  She’s so focus on everyone else that it was amazing to see her enjoy a day that was solely focus on her!  We all seem to put everyone else in front of us but it’s important that we take time for ourselves!
