It was slightly chilly on the day of Natalie and Shane’s engagement session but their love was evident! And, even though most of the snow had melted, we still captured some great winter photos. The Botanic Garden was the perfect setting for their session and even their dog seemed to enjoy himself. Their reception will be held at the Garden and it was a great chance for us to walk around and look at all the great spots for photographs. I’m so excited for their wedding in November! Here are just a few photos from their engagement session.

Let’s start with a family photo! Meet their beloved dog, Ari, who just happens to be celebrating his 1st birthday today! Can’t wait to see him in action on wedding day. 🙂 Good thing Natalie’s parents were in attendance to be dog wranglers – the last time we had a dog at an engagement session Tony ended up taking care of the dog when he wasn’t part of the photos!

A lovely lady in blue! I really feel like I am able to connect with most of my clients almost immediately! Sometimes it starts in our emails when planning the session (pretty sure people can sense my passion from that first initial contact) or the moment they walk in the door. In most cases, I develop lasting relationships with these women that have carried me through my photography journey!

This woman was no exception. I knew we would be fast friends and her session included tons of laughs, no panties (haha, that’s an inside joke) and some great photos. She shared with me a lot about her life – the woman she used to be and the woman she is now. I love giving this experience to women to celebrate who they are at this exact moment in their life. My job is the best and most rewarding job. Seeing these amazing women celebrate themselves is something I truly treasure.

Remember, 2016 is the YEAR OF YOU! Do something – ANYTHING – just for you this year! 🙂

Look at those eyes and that little hint of a smile! It’s all about connection, and I love connecting with my clients.

This gorgeous woman had the most wonderful session and it’s a transformation I have a hard time putting into words. This job connects me with so many amazing women that it brings tears to my eyes. And, I love that they feel comfortable enough with me to share parts of their life. I learned so much more about her even after her session, and I will say that I’m so thankful that I was placed in her life. Sometimes people need a pick me up – someone to see their true beauty – and help them connect them with themselves. That was my job with her shoot!

After her session, I asked her the following questions so I’ll let her words speak for themselves:

~How did you feel about yourself before your photo shoot? I felt ok but I was a little nervous and a lot self-conscious.

~How did you feel about yourself after your photo shoot? I felt amazing and beautiful and sexy and bursting at the seams with self-confidence.

~ Describe your session in 3 words. Fun, amazing, sexy.

~What would you say to other women who are considering a boudoir photo shoot? Do it. Do it for you or your significant other but do it. I had a fantastic day and had a surge in self-confidence after the shoot.

Lisa & James’ Engagement

Love that we’ve now included the engagement session with our Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers wedding package! Here are some photos of Lisa & James’ engagement session at the Heinz History Center & the strip district!

Lisa and James are getting married in October with their ceremony at the Heinz History Center and I’m super excited about it all! They decided to have their engagement session at the Center so we could walk it together and talk about the plan for their wedding, and it was the perfect choice. We had so much fun walking around and dodging people .. it was exciting!

I love how happy James looks in this photo! He’s got the perfect woman by his side! <3

Next up was a stop outside to get some photos in the rare February sun! We couldn’t believe how sunny and warm it was on photo shoot day! 🙂

City shoots may be one of my favorite things!

Seriously, could they BE any cuter?!? (Yes, I used my Chandler Bing voice there)

I really love to have fun with my couples and try to make their photo shoots a barrel of laughs! Whether that’s making fun of me or Tony – I’ll do what it takes – because the sap in my LOVES these kind of candid photos! Seeing true happiness and enjoyment makes my heart so happy! Don’t you just love them?!?!

These two are so fantastic and we had a load of fun at their shoot! Can’t wait for October!

The Lace Dress

This lace dress is something I purchased for my collection back in December but only recently had the chance to use it in a photo shoot! I’m serious – it’s is one of the most stunning pieces I have in my collection and I really feel it would be great on every woman! And, I loved it so much that I bought it in 3 different sizes! My outfit collection is getting pretty large and I just organized it last weekend so I can more easily pull items for each client. While most clients bring most of their own lingerie, it’s so great to have a nice selection of items for clients to look thru when they arrive. Love to incorporate my items into shoots!

I love backlighting this dress and making my client standout. I don’t use a lot of props in my photos because I want YOU to be the focus of the images. I can’t show you this gorgeous woman’s face so here are a few anonymous photos. I’ll be using this in a few shoots coming up so you’ll see it in full action in a future blog post. I purchased this dress from Amazon but I did find the same version on Ebay for cheaper.
