I sometimes hate to share before and afters.

I hate it because I don’t want people to think the after is simply a result of hair and makeup.

I hate it because I don’t want people to think that it has anything to do with me.  Yes, it’s true – I light, pose and edit in a killer way, but I’m a small part of it.  My client has a major part in the transformation.

I love to share before and afters because I can show you that these transformations happen with the every day woman.  Sometimes I feel like potential clients think they could never be like the women in my photos. These kind of photos show you that YOU CAN!  The transformation that happens in your confidence is what I love the most about these shoots – it has absolutely nothing to do with your looks.  There I said it.  How you look is such a small part of what I love to do for women!

This mom of two is truly amazing and the self love that resulted from this shoot is something I’ll be sharing on the blog in a few weeks.  For now, I leave you with a before and after – to grab your attention – shake you into submission – and tell you that you too can be like the women in my photos!

Ok this stunning woman is a wonderful photographer herself.  I am truly humbled when other photographers come to me for their boudoir photo shoots!  I may be a little nervous when a photographer steps in front of my camera but it’s one experience that stretches my growth as a photographer.  There’s always added pressure when someone who knows photography is your subject, but – not to sound cocky – I’m great at this job!  And, it’s something I truly love!

Here are some photos from this session – I can’t show you her face – but these side tie panties were the most amazing thing ever!  I loved the little satin tie detail and capturing those items make these photos so mysterious.  🙂  Enjoy…

A lovely lady in blue!  I really feel like I am able to connect with most of my clients almost immediately!  Sometimes it starts in our emails when planning the session (pretty sure people can sense my passion from that first initial contact) or the moment they walk in the door.  In most cases, I develop lasting relationships with these women that have carried me through my photography journey!

This woman was no exception.  I knew we would be fast friends and her session included tons of laughs, no panties (haha, that’s an inside joke) and some great photos.  She shared with me a lot about her life – the woman she used to be and the woman she is now.  I love giving this experience to women to celebrate who they are at this exact moment in their life.  My job is the best and most rewarding job.  Seeing these amazing women celebrate themselves is something I truly treasure.

Remember, 2016 is the YEAR OF YOU!  Do something – ANYTHING – just for you this year!  🙂

Look at those eyes and that little hint of a smile!  It’s all about connection, and I love connecting with my clients.
